The application of close-testings as an effective means of training control on foreign language classes

The article deals with the application of different types of tests on foreign language classes. The greatest attention is given to close-testing which gives an opportunity to replace the whole series of narrow directed tasks for one. The examples resulted in the article show that close-testing can be an effective means of control of studentslanguage competences. This kind of testing (developed and suggested by U.L.Taylor) has found wide application not only in Russian methodological research, but also on practical classes of foreign language.
