Application of the diagnostic audit method to ensure the quality of the supplier evaluation process

The article is devoted to the consideration of the features of the diagnostic audit method and its role in ensuring the quality of the supplier evaluation process. The research considers the concept of diagnostic audit, requirements for its conduct and its place in the quality management system. The results of application of the diagnostic audit method for supplier evaluation by a company producing products for the nuclear industry for both initial and repeated evaluation are described. The purpose of the experiment was to confirm the hypothesis about the positive impact of the application of the diagnostic audit method on the quality of the supplier evaluation process. The experiment was conducted in four phases, in each of which the diagnostic audit method was applied to supplier evaluation. In each phase, the impact of the diagnostic audit method on the quality of the supplier evaluation process was evaluated and information was collected through questionnaires to conclude the positive impact of the application of the diagnostic audit method on the relationship between the customer and the supplier. Upon completion of the study, it was concluded that there was a positive impact of the application of the diagnostic audit method on the quality of the supplier evaluation process based on the data obtained in the performance evaluation of this process.
