The use of reference signals in the classroom of botany

The work is devoted to the development of supporting abstracts for the environmental direction, the course of biological diversity (section of botany) in a higher educational institution (undergraduate level). The article discusses the main features of those families of the department of angiosperms, which, according to the authors, are the most important in the environmental practice of the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra. As experience shows, the study of the main systematic groups without the use of special pedagogical technologies takes considerable time. In order to save training time, increase the efficiency of student’s assimilation of lecture material and enable their long-term memory mechanisms, the application of the technology of supporting abstracts was tested. As a result, an algorithm for the general characteristics of families was developed, reference signals were selected, and twelve abstracts were compiled, which are basic. The proposed form and content of the entries are not final, they are finalized by students. Thanks to the technique of students returning to the studied material repeatedly, there is an acceleration in the processes of memorization and reproduction of the text, as well as an increase in the level of academic performance. Supporting notes should be used at lectures, seminars, and laboratory classes, as well as a form of independent study of new material.
