Application of the pedagogical technology “design battle” in classes when studying graphic design disciplines

Scientific and technological progress and its achievements impose new demands on the conditions of human life and functioning, changing them and filling them with new opportunities. One of the aspects of human activity is, of course, education as a single purposeful process of upbringing and training. Within the education system itself, as well as in the world as a whole, there are active processes of searching for forms, methods and technologies that will become truly in demand among young people. The article discusses the issue of applying innovative pedagogical technology for conducting classes in the profession of 54.01.20 Graphic designer. The relevance of the problem is substantiated by the need to improve the efficiency of the educational process in the field of secondary vocational education and the quality of training qualified specialists using the game technology “battle” (the author calls the design battle the key variety), which has been actively used in the educational process lately. The purpose of using such technology is to identify students or a group of students who most effectively demonstrate the formation of professional competencies in solving problems in conditions close to professional ones. Theoretical research methods were used to form the methodology of the article. The author notes the insufficiently studied issue of the methodology of the pedagogical technology “design battle” and its application in the educational process. The result of the study was the use of the above pedagogical technology in conducting training sessions on interdisciplinary courses of the profession 54.01.20 Graphic designer. Such experience shows that the design battle allows you to simulate situations close to professional ones, contributes to the formation and development of general and professional competencies in students, brings variety to the educational process.
