Introduction. The author proves it necessary for the teacher to employ interactive methods and technologies with learners as the resource of professional development of all the participants of the educative process. The focus is made on the competency-based approach to the training of a modern specialist. Development of any competence implies active mastering it. This requires interactive learning situations created and effectively managed by the teacher. This role can be played by the teacher if he possesses interactive learning technologies. One of the essential features of the teacher’s professionalism is creative mind. Developed creative professional mind enables the teacher to reorganize traditional forms of lessons into interactive lessons with large groups of students. Materials and Methods. The research included the teachers educating students and trainees at the advanced training courses who participated in the research voluntarily. All the respondents were divided into two groups due to the fact whether the teachers used interactive technologies in their teaching or not. This enabled the author through testing, questionnaire and mathematical methods to make a comparative analysis of the obtained data. Results and Discussion. Mastering an interactive technology of “algorithm” in the work with large groups shortens the time expenses increasing the quality of the learners’ training. The teachers who used interactive learning technologies during the research have shown a higher level of perception of a creative student. Conclusions. Even a rare use of interactive methods by the teacher increases the level of his professional creative mind. Further organization of the teacher’s acquiring of interactive technologies can significantly optimize his professional development.
