Use of rudiments on the drum kit in rhythmic patterns, breaks and fillings

Practicing drummers have to study drum rudiments to provide the linguistic basis and starting point for understanding patterns of playing techniques. Enlarging the repertoire of grooves and rudiments helps bring creativity to percussion solos and create unique drum techniques. Drummers studying the rudiments that in turn represent sets of rhythmic patterns become good at various patterns. The article considers the options of the enlarged list of rudiments from the Percussive Arts Society (PAS) and gives specialized settings for their application.
