The application of the wide-range equation of state to the behavior of porous iron and iron containing mixtures

This paper considers the behavior of porous iron and iron-copper mixtures within a single-continuum thermodynamic equilibrium medium. This model describes the behavior of the medium under the shock-wave loading and the isoentropic unloading of solid and porous iron and iron-containing mixture samples using only the parameters of the equation of state and mass concentrations of the components. The comparison of the calculated results with experimental data suggests the effectiveness of the proposed equation for modeling.
