Real-time sonographic topometry for radiation therapy planning for Hodgkin's disease in children

Бесплатный доступ

Original method of real-time sonography for radiation therapy planning in Hodgkin's disease is proposed. After its evaluation with phantom measurements it was used in 120 patients for localization of the spleen and kidneys (experimental group). The historical control group included 101 patients who underwent only X-ray topometry. No isolated relapses in the spleen were noted in experimental group. In the control group there were 5 such relapses (р=0,06). The total dose of irradiation was much lower in the experimental group.
