Menopause is an unavoidable change that every woman will experience, assuming she reaches middle age and beyond. An early menopause can be related to the surgical removal of the uterus and/or both ovaries. The article presents the main evaluation of the clinical severity and characteristics of the menopausal syndrome after oophorectomy. Our experience has shown that vitamins and minerals, as an alternative to hormone replacement therapy reduces the severity of menopause symptoms. They play a central role in many body processes for menopausal women. Studies have linked it to preventing heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, cancer and weight gain. If that seems like a lot of prevention in one little vitamin, it is. The problem, though, is that as many as half of adults are deficient in vitamines and minerals and are therefore their minimum dose is not benefiting. Therefore, initiation of therapy always requires high doses of vitamins and minerals.
