Statement of the problem. Modern literature about the WWI (1941-1945), the so called Great Patriotic War in Russia, contains both literary reflection of the traditions of the Soviet period and authors’ innovations in the context of stylistic integrations: realism - modernism, realism - postmodernism. The purpose of the article is to reveal the specifics of spatio-temporal organization, identify techniques of mythological quotation and determine the functional spectrum of hero-mediators in Oleg Seshko’s novel Snut Voshlebnaya. Methodology (materials and methods). The research material was O. Seshko’s novel Snut Voshlebnaya. The work uses cultural-historical and comparative-typological methods. The theoretical basis of the study was the scientific works of A.N. Afanasyev, E.M. Meletinsky and others, devoted to the review of mythological ideas in world cultural discourse, as well as the works of M. Foucault, who justified the term “heterotopia”. Research results. Using the example of the modern writer O. Seshko’s novel Snut Voshlebnaya, the axiological range of conditionally metaphorical prose about the Great Patriotic War is revealed. The multi-level artistic model of space-time presented in the work is analyzed, the semantic and morphological functions of the mediating characters are identified.
