Principles of selecting texts in a foreign language as a means of instilling high moral qualities and citizenship in students

The possibilities of the academic discipline “Foreign Language” for the implementation of the civic-patriotic direction of education at the university are considered. The principles of selecting text material as the basis for the content of education are highlighted. From the point of view of implementing the educational function of education, the methodological aspect of foreign language classes is characterized, productive methods and teaching techniques are shown. Emphasis is placed on the role of the teacher's personality in the education of the younger generation.
