Principles of risk management for educational projects

The expansion of global risks, including the increasing uncertainty of the future, a decrease in the sustainability of the development of society and its individual institutions, in the controllability of progressive development, and in the “human development index”, predetermines the search for responsive solutions in the education system. The education system in different historical periods of human development generated solutions that reduced the entropy of the instability of social development. Today, one of such solutions in the education system is educational projects. On the one hand, with the help of educational projects strategic guidelines are institutionalized, and on the other hand, the work is organized to fulfill the stated goals and objectives. The purpose of this article is to propose and comprehend the principles of risk management of educational projects, which are specific in relation to the general principles of management. As the study showed, the known sets of management principles do not fully allow solving problems of identifying and minimizing the risks of educational projects. Considering the scale of national and federal projects implementation in the field of domestic education, the risks that accompany any educational project increase significantly. In this regard, the well-known principles of risk management, which came to education mainly from the economic and technological sphere, must be clarified. The principles identified during the study are specific in relation to the general principles of management. At the same time, when managing the risks of an educational project, the condition for the transition from general management principles to specific ones should be taken into account.
