Priority areas of legal education in the context of modernization of higher education

The relevance of the research is dictated by the upcoming reform of higher education, in connection with which the article discusses the problems of the development of legal education In Russia. Based on the analysis of contradictions that have arisen in theory and practice between the objective requirements imposed by employers and the quality of law school graduates, an attempt has been made to reveal current trends in the field of legal education affecting the organizational, substantive and effective aspects of the higher education system. The purpose of the study is to study the priority areas of higher education at the present stage and the place of legal education in the higher education system. The methodological basis of the research was the provisions of the system approach, which make it possible to take into account the totality of the system components that interact, develop effective strategies for the development of the system and develop organizational and pedagogical conditions for its successful implementation. In order to substantiate the research results and confirm their reliability, a set of scientific research methods was used: theoretical analysis of scientific literature and regulatory legal acts on the research topic, generalization, systematization and empirical survey methods, comparative method, interpretation of survey results. The results of the study are presented by the priority areas of higher education in legal specialties in the context of the modernization of higher education, affecting the organizational, substantive and effective components of the higher education system.
