Priority needs and formation of a new type of thinking of the youth of Generation Z as a civilizational subject, looking to the future

The trends of globalization, which are gaining strength in the world, affect the culture of temporal relations: it changes with great speed. It creates new needs of civilizational subjects. First of all, this effect can be traced at the generational level. This paper analyzes the needs of a new generation of young people – the so-called Generation Z, which will actively influence the social reality tomorrow. The picture of social life and the features of the accumulation of social experience allow young people to form the needs of intellectual accumulation, public recognition, civilizational choice, experimentation and play. Of no small importance in shaping the needs of the younger generation is the scienti fic picture of the world and the ideology of enlightened patriotism, which allow young people to develop a new type of thinking based on the principle of “Overtaking, not catching up!”.
