The region''S natural and resource capacity as the basis of its competitiveness (on the example of the republic of buryatia)

The features of the geographical location of the Republic of Buryatia are provided in the article: its most part is included into the Baikal natural territory. Thereby the greatest environmental pressure lays down on economic activity that requires its regulation for the purpose of preserving of the unique ecological system of Baikal. "The Baikal factor” availability, requiring implementation of ecologically safe technologies, assumes the raised capital costs that leads to decrease in product competitiveness. It is also necessary to use special conditions of managing, and it requires application of environmentally friendly and high technologies in case ofproduction and conversion of natural resources, the availability and diversity of which are rich in Republic. Buryatia is characterized by the extensive territory and rather low density of population, it in turn generates a number of the problems connected with transport availability, providing of the necessary infrastructure. The paper proposes the ways of their solution, projects, and also the planned economic indicators after implementation of the offered actions for the solution of these problems.
