Motives of the parable of the prodigal son in Pushkin's «Snowstorm»

Analyzing the artistic structure and semantics of this Pushkin's novel, the author reveals its very core that is a somehow transformed version of a well-known evangelic parable - «of the prodigal children» who went along an arduous road from one axiological extreme to another, from self-will to humbleness which determined a deep psychological basis of its plot development.
