Greeting as a special ritual of communicative etiquette in the ethnoculture of Dagestan

The article reveals the features of etiquette in the ethno-culture of the Dagestani peoples as a multinational ethnic group, where the unifying factor is the greeting norms. The greeting in Dagestani culture has a special ethno-national specificity associated with the mentality of the people, formed as a result of similar geographical and historical conditions of its residence. The relevance of the study is due to the recent tourist interest in the Caucasus, and Dagestan in particular, in order to avoid conflicts that may arise from ignorance of the communicative forms of etiquette, which is preserved and revered among the Dagestani peoples. The main provisions formulated in the study are aimed at highlighting a number of ethnocultural features in the greeting behavior of Dagestanis, which determine the norms of politeness in this community. The main object of the study is the verbal and nonverbal communication space. The subject of the study is the greeting and related processes of coding and decoding information, which forms the basis of the ritual of communicative etiquette in the ethnocultural environment of Dagestan.
