The problem of formation of local history competence of younger schoolchildren

The article deals with the problem of the formation of local history competence of primary school students, justifies the need to use language-language material to expand and deepen the knowledge of students about their native land, to increase the level of their speech development. Examples of linguistic and local history exercises that can be included in Russian language lessons to form the cognitive motivation of younger schoolchildren to study it, develop their general horizons, and introduce students to their native culture are given.
