The problem of using proverbs in Russian colloquial speech (sociolinguistic experiment)

This paper presents the results of a sociolinguistic experiment aimed at identifying the frequency of the use of proverbial expressions in the speech of modern youth. The analysis of the data obtained from the point of view of determining the place of paremic units in the speech activity of native speakers of the Russian language is presented. The semantic content of the concept of "proverb" in the ordinary sense is determined. Proverbs included in the active vocabulary of representatives of the Russian ethnic group are revealed.
