The problem of ethno-cultural socialization of young people in theory and practice

Historography of the problem of ethno-cultural socialization of young people in theory and practice is presented; terms “education”, “ethno-cultural education”, “ethno-cultural socialization” are expanded and the main research trends on the above problem are specified. Parameters significant in the process of education and socialization of young people in the personality formation and development and the socialization specifics of the contemporary young people are pointed out. The essence of ethno-cultural socialization as a part of cultural socialization is revealed and its functions are pointed out. The concept of “ethno-cultural socialization of young people” is specified and components of ethno-cultural socialization are pointed out: value cultural, cognitive social and reflexive communicative.
