The problem of competitiveness and professional identity of youth

With the change of the industrial and technological structure, technologies transformation, the youth is becoming a promising subject of the labour market, a significant channel for the reproduction of labour power in the conditions of its shedding and quality declining. Insufficient personal and professional identification not only limits access to the major sector, but also complicates career growth and narrows competitive advantages. The article is aimed at identifying current problems of youth competitiveness, their correlation with professional identification. The basic provisions of the theory of human capital, structural theory and social theory are the methodological basis of the study. We have identified the requirements for the bearer of labour functions. The labour market turbulence makes it difficult to find a job according to ones profile. The mechanism for solving the problem of competitiveness and professional identity should include socio-economic and educational activities, in particular, vocational training and internships.
