The article has considered the problem of assessing the quality of training specialists and also the ways to improve them. At present the graduates of higher educational institutions should be highly qualified specialists who can apply their knowledge in practice, be able to research, develop and set goals and objectives, continue their education. The article tells about the problems which the graduates of general educational and secondary professional institutions face.
