Question of defining “economic patriotism” as a term for youth professional identity formation research

The article explores the phenomenon of economic patriotism as a tool of public administration, a way of adapting an individual to society and a symbol in communication. Based on the analysis of scientific literature and search query data, a relatively low interest in the topic was revealed in comparison with the concepts of “patriotism” and “labor market”. Economic patriotism is considered as a mechanism for reducing uncertainty, strengthening the territorial integrity and integration of the individual through collective values. Particular attention is paid to the role of this attitude in making professionally significant decisions by young people. The author concludes that it is necessary to separate the functions of economic patriotism for the individual, society, state and business, as well as to study its symbolic expression in communication. Directions for further research are proposed, including the analysis of youth value orientations in the context of professional self-determination.
