The issue of translation of interjections in the English language versions of A.P. Chehov’s plays

One of the main specific features of the dramatic discourse is the speech, sounding from the scene. In this situation the translation of the different interjections obtains a prioritized meaning. The difficulties often appear from the absence of the full equivalent correspondence of the interjections of the Russian and English languages. Based on the translations of the basic plays of A.P. Chehov there are made the reasonable conclusions about the most frequent mistakes of the translator and the text’s distortion, originating from them.
