The main problem of our research was to determine the criteria and conditions that would allow athletes to fight for getting the winners at major international competitions in the long jump. The comparative analysis of the results of the strongest athletes’ performance specializing in the long jump at the Olympic Games (2008, 2012) and World Championships (2001-2013) was given.
