The paper deals with the issue of the status problem of the website text space, represented by different types of texts. The material used for the study is Russian and English websites, intended to inform students about educational opportunities of the particular countries and about different social aspects of student’s life. Multi-informative orientation determines multigenre characteristics of the texts, included in the topical sections of the websites. The authors explain that it is necessary to consider a discourse and text correlation, text and discourse spaces for effective understanding of the nature of complex Internet-texts operating in the integrated communicative space. Illustrations demonstrate multiple style and genre layers of the texts and their elements. The analysis shows that specific nature of the considered website types manifests as intercommunication of the texts hosted on the websites, and these texts form the informative socially oriented and interdiscursive space.
