The problem of essential understanding of mathematical culture as a part of personal cognitive culture

The article examines the content and essence of mathematical culture as a significant part of the personal cognitive culture. Mathematical culture appears as an important part of the general cognitive culture, its characteristics are sufficiently expanded in the scientific and philosophical literature. Mathematical culture is not only a professional culture, it characterizes the mechanism of people's skills and abilities to operate with quantitative parameters of the real world. At the same time, the analysis of philosophical, cultural and methodological literature, according to the author, shows that currently there is no single approach to clarifying the essence and content of the concept of mathematical culture. The analysis of his own and other studies leads the author of the article to the conclusion that the essence and content of this concept are amenable to disclosure by methodological approaches of the doctrine of cognitive culture.
