Problem of variability of Russian and German personal names in terms of social onomastics

Бесплатный доступ

The author considers the national and cultural specificity of perception of full, abbreviated and hypocoristic forms of German and Russian personal names. A feature of the Russian anthroponymic system is the plurality of socio-functional naming of the object using a diverse, often subjective diversity of word-formants. The socio-functional parallels in the form of full, abbreviated and hypocoristic forms of German personal names are usually not so far from each other as Russian official and unofficial forms of naming white subjective variations of hypocoristic naming of close people rarely differ in the multiplicity of anthropoforms. German and Russian anthroponymic systems, participating in the formation of a special national cultural space both, have their own peculiarities in such socionomastic aspect as naming. In the modern German anthroponymic system abbreviated variants of German personal names tend to be relatively autonomous and become independent of their full variants.
