The problem of educating social responsibility in students in the context of digital transformation of society

The article presents scientific and methodological approaches to the development of social responsibility in students in the process of studying the discipline “Information Society and Problems of Applied Informatics”. A description of the stage-by-stage development of responsibility in the course of the evolution of human thinking (L. Kohlberg’s theory of moral development) is given, as well as the substantiation of the role of the axiological approach as a methodological basis for this process. Russian and foreign models of responsibility development are compared. Productive forms of organization and methods of this area of educational work at the university are determined. Based on the identification of key problems arising in the context of digitalization of various aspects of human activity, the substantive component of work on responsibility development in students is characterized. The possibilities of practical implementation of theoretical approaches to social responsibility development in university students are considered.
