Problematic issues of criminal liability for engaging in prostitution

The article presents an analysis of Art. 240 of the Criminal Code. The main features of activities related to prostitution are given, the basic doctrinal concepts of prostitution are highlighted. On the basis of judicial practice, the problem of competition between the concepts of “involvement” and “coercion” was identified, and its solution was proposed in order to eliminate their alternating duplication and ignoring one of them in the texts of court sentences.
