Problems of Professional Competence Formation in the Educational Process at Military Higher Educational Institutions of the Rosguard (National Guard Troops Federal Service of the Russian Federation)

Introduction. The objective is to identify the main areas of increasing the effectiveness of the motivational component for the acquisition of professional competence during the training period. Materials and Methods. To assess the socio-psychological attitudes of personality in the motivation and needs sphere, the «Method of diagnostics of socio-psychological attitudes of personality in the motivation and needs sphere by O. F. Potemkina» was used. The respondents included 135 first-year cadets. Comparative analysis, generalisation, modeling, design, pedagogical observation, questionnaires, interviews, analysis of documents and results of activity, expert evaluation were employed. Results and Discussion. The issues of professional competence formation are closely related to the problems of military spiritual and moral values in professional-activity identification. The motivational attitudes to the acquisition of professional competence in the cadets of higher educational institutions of the National Guard troops are determined. Conclusions. The structure of motivational attitudes to the acquisition of professional competence among the cadets of higher educational institutions of the National Guard Forces has qualitative differences, which determines the search for new psychological and pedagogical approaches to the formation of motivation of military cadets to acquire professional competence.
