The article is dedicated to the analysis of the protection of family institutions, fatherhood, motherhood, and childhood in the Russian Federation, emphasizing their significance for the social and demographic development of the country. During a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of the Russian Federation on December 20, 2024, President Vladimir Putin highlighted the need to create conditions for increasing birth rates, reflecting a high level of public demand for the support of family values. Despite this, statistical data show a decline in birth rates and an increase in mortality, necessitating a comprehensive approach to family policy, including improving the material well-being, housing accessibility, and the development of education and healthcare. The article also examines the labor rights of young parents, identifying existing issues related to discrimination in the labor market. Despite legislative guarantees, such as the prohibition of restrictions on workers' rights based on family status, stereotypes persist that hinder the career advancement of women with children. Sociological studies indicate that young parents face difficulties in balancing professional and family responsibilities. The article emphasizes the importance of support programs, such as social contracts and professional training for women on maternity leave, which contribute to enhancing their competitiveness in the labor market.
