The article discusses the issues of consumer involvement in the process of developing new products. The problems associated with the participation of consumers in joint innovation activities have been identified, it has been established that encourages consumers to participate in this activity. It also considers the forms of consumer participation in co-creation and describes the main trends - crowdsourcing, crowdfunding, prosumerism and mass customization.
