Problems of using the Serbian lexeme *plavi when translating the colorative *goluboi into Serbian

The article discusses the aspects related to the color designation due to the influence of the Serbian colorative *plavi semantic structure complexity. The uncertainties, that arise in the Russian-Serbian translation of the colorative *goluboi, caused by the homonymy of the corresponding Serbian lexeme * plavi are revealed. Based on dictionary entries and materials obtained from the Internet resources the possibility of using various lexical units for more distinct color differentiation in Serbian translations is evaluated.
