Problems of evolution of state nature protection bodies of the Russian empire in 1838-1894

The article examines the evolution of state bodies of the Russian Empire that carried out environmental protection activities in the period from 1838 to 1894, and formulates their system. The purpose of the study is to identify positive and negative aspects of the functioning of the existing environmental protection bodies. An assessment of their activities is given, measures are proposed aimed at improving the effectiveness of modern environmental protection bodies of the Russian Federation based on historical experience.
