Problems of providing inclusive tourism by means of accommodation facilities

The selection of tourism specialized for people with disabilities into a separate sector of the tourism market caused by the increasing number of people with disabilities who choose travel and tourism as tools for rehabilitation, socialization and recreation. Potentially this sector is estimated to exceed 3 million tourist visits during the year. The article describes the possibility of providing the tourists with special health needs with such an important element of a tourist product as accommodation services. At the beginning of 2020, the segment of Russian hotel enterprises sutaible for people with disabilities does not exceed 10%. Some regions has even more marked deficiency of conditions for the disabled. The lack of mechanisms to ensure standards and requirements for a barrier-free environment as well as incentives for business make the problem even deeper. The authors present research results on the provision of tourism infrastructure facilities with physical and information accessibility.
