Problems of organizational and legal support for environmental protection in modern conditions

This article explores the pressing need for environmental protection amid the ecological crisis affecting both the planet as a whole and our country in particular. It analyzes the problematic issues of organizational and legal frameworks for environmental protection in the Russian Federation. In this context, the special role of legal instruments as the primary, universal regulator of all environmental protection activities is emphasized. The article draws attention to the imperfections of the current legal framework for environmental protection. The issue of the legal unregulation of the process of implementing environmental protection measures is addressed. It concludes that approaches in this area of activity need to be changed, as well as the need to improve the regulatory framework governing environmental management. The authors believe it is necessary to tighten regulatory requirements for business licensing procedures, as well as environmental certification and standardization. The need to intensify activities to monitor the effectiveness of regulatory acts in this area is noted.
