Problems of selecting lexico-grammatical material for a school textbook of Russian language in the Chinese educational context

The article deals with the key problems of selecting and structuring lexico-grammatical material for school textbooks of Russian as a foreign language (RFL) in the Chinese educational context. The main attention is paid to the methodological aspects of developing textbooks that take into account the linguistic differences between Russian and Chinese languages, as well as the specifics of the Chinese educational system. The author analyzes the principles of selecting vocabulary and grammatical phenomena, emphasizing the need for their adaptation to the cognitive features of Chinese learners. Particular attention is paid to institutional factors, including the limited number of teaching hours and the prevalence of reproductive teaching methods in the Chinese pedagogical tradition. The article proposes methodological solutions based on the principles of cyclicality, balance between systematicity and communicative orientation, and consideration of students' age characteristics. The results of the study can be used to optimize teaching materials on RFL and to develop intercultural interaction between Russia and China.
