According to the long-term studies, the dynamics of social and labor relations in Ural companies is controversial. On the one hand, it shows some positive trends as regards corporate social responsibility; on the other hand, it reflects the ongoing conservation of the conflict of interest between owners, employees and society in most companies. Employees and society's negative assessment of the system of harsh capitalist relations established in the 1990s, international social standards and improvement of national legislation develop trends towards the recovery of employees' social support system that is peculiar to the Soviet period and contemporary responsible companies in developed countries. The situation is improving in comparison with the 1990s. However, a significant number of employees are still faced with discrimination, hazardous working conditions, poverty, health deterioration, the lack of work-family balance, the absence of favorable environment for being initiative and creative as well as the insufficient attention of owners and managers to the personnel needs. The research analyzes working relations based on corporate responsibility criteria and indicates social dialogue issues that the staff members of Ural companies view as the key ones.
