This article examines current legal issues of providing students the training the state social scholarship in the Russian Federation. The Federal Law «On Education in the Russian Federation» was reviewed from the perspective of social scholarships granting. This article describes state social scholarship as one of the guarantees for the realization of the constitutional right to higher education.
