Problems of legal regulation of genetic research in the Russian Federation

The author in the article analyzes the legal regulation of genetic research in the Russian Federation. Problems are identified in the process of legislative regulation of the medical genetic engineering industry. It was concluded that the development of innovative genetic technologies is one of the key factors determining the competitiveness of national economies and the effectiveness of national security strategies in the country.
