Problems of teaching the academic discipline “Chemistry” in English to foreign students

The problems that arise during the teaching of the academic discipline “Chemistry” in English from the point of view of a Russian-speaking teacher are considered: high-level command of the English language and chemical terminology. It is noted that chemical terms or names of some substances in English do not always coincide with their direct translation into Russian. To solve these problems, it is proposed to organize courses for chemistry teachers with the participation of native English speakers and experienced Russian teachers. The problem of poor initial training in chemistry for foreign students, the need to increase their internal motivation, and develop independent work skills are raised.
