Problems of Russian language teaching in a multicultural environment

The article discusses questions of teaching Russian language in multicultural educational environment. Due to acceptance of the "Law on Education in Russian Federation", introduction of the second edition of Federal State Education Standards, and approval of "Concepts of Teaching Russian language and literature in Russian Federation" as well as "Professional Standard of Educator", educational paradigm has changed. The goal of this research is to analyze current problems of teaching Russian language in new socio-cultural conditions. Problems such as teaching Russian language in multinational environment, multicultural education, teaching expat children, handicapped children etc. demand enhancing educational system and teachers. When solving a problem of language learning one needs to rely on scientific, sociolinguistic and contrastive- comparative research. It is very important to conduct lessons in bilingual environment, to improve basic educational programs, to create online degree programs, to improve Master's degree programs quality, to create qualified departments within educational institutions that would improve both research and hands-on practical learning. Learning Russian language should help students achieve academic success in other disciplines. System of secondary education has huge potential to improve lingual abilities. More attention needs to be paid to developing educational methods of teaching Russian language that satisfy the requirements of modern era. The article finds solutions to aforementioned problems based on the previous educational experience.
