Problems of prevention of environmental offenses by law enforcement agencies

The article focuses on the fact that ensuring environmental safety is impossible without effective prevention of environmental offenses. The article examines the legal basis for the activities of the subjects of preventive work, on the basis of which they carry out preventive activities, and provides a definition of the prevention of environmental offenses. The system of measures of preventive impact on environmental crime by the subjects of prevention is analyzed, the problematic aspects of this activity are highlighted and the ways of their solution are proposed. It is pointed out that it is necessary to change and supplement the legislation for more effective use of methods of prevention of offenses in the environmental sphere. The necessity of creating a unified information environment equipped with modern software for online monitoring of the state of the environment is justified.
