The article examines the definition, features and functions of a juror, highlights the problems of proceedings in a court with the participation of jurors (for example, a low level of knowledge in the field of law among jurors, insufficient measure of the independence and immunity of a juror, a small amount of rights for jurors), and also explores ways to improve the trial with the participation of jurors.
