Problems of interpreting ways of publicly disseminating knowingly false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and security of citizens

The article considers responsibility for the public dissemination of knowingly false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and security of citizens (Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The characteristics of objective and subjective signs of this corpus delicti are given. The shortcomings are reflected, which the legislator needs to eliminate in practice in order to further apply the criminal law norm. Novelties have been proposed that will optimize the implementation of the norm in law enforcement practice.
