The article considers evolution, development and reconstruction of traditional Buryat costume using creative materials of fashion designers of Buryatia, such as Zoya Dambieva, Zhargal Ochirov, Nona Togochieva, Igor Sarapulov and others. It also examines some of the problems and stages of formation of modern ethnic fashion.
