Mentoring problems in the educational process

Due to progressing aggravation of the international situation caused by the intensification of the arms race, and also due to the increasing incidence of substitution and distortion of generally accepted human values in a number of Western countries, the processes of mentoring of youth and society are becoming a strategic task of the government. Mentoring is an essential part of any educational system. And depending on the basic concepts of each government system, a certain set of mentoring methods focused primarily on the individual’s socialization is formed. In a number of countries, the process of individual’s socialization is affected by the worldview of the ruling elite and rarely pursues humanistic goals in every country. (An example of negative socialization was Nazi Germany in the first half of the 20th century). The objective of the article is to analyze the main approaches and stages of the mentoring process.
