The article provides an overview of distance learning. Its characteristic features were identified, its main types (synchronous, asynchronous, self-learning) were considered. Detailed information is provided on difficulties arising during distance learning (organizational, methodological, didactic, psychological and pedagogical) and ways to eliminate them.
