Productive and adaptive potential of modern pea varieties under conditions of the Pskov region south

The article presents the results of the research dedicated to the assessment of modern varieties of field peas, that has been conducted in 2020-2022 in the Velikiye Luki State Agricultural Academy in the southern part of the Pskov region. The authors have determined the field and laboratory germination rates, plant survival capacity, vegetation phase period, plant structure and yield of green mass and seeds. It has been found that the productivity of varieties, the stability of yields and the vegetation duration are primarily determined by the weather conditions of the season. The best adaptive properties and economic qualities are shown by the Albumin, Optimus and Flenskiy jubilee varieties of peas.
